Wild Republic

Wild Republic, best known for their jungle stuffed animals, has released three new lines of plush toys.  These lines include:

Natural Poses - designed with high quality fabrics and light filling at the center for a cuddly feeling without being floppy. These jungle animals and sea life will typically be in a life-like position for a realistic look. Natural poses include jungle, sea life, birds, barnyard, and country animals.

Wild Republic does a good job of reproducing these animals in a seated or standing position that does not compromise the ability to cuddle the toy or simply place it on a shelf or desk as a display piece.

Signature Series - designed by certified naturalists with a focus on striking detail and the use of lush fabrics. Wild Republic went all out on this line of 'premium' plush animals. 

The detail can best be noticed in the facial features of the animal.  The eyes captivate, giving a sense that this wild animal is watching you.  The plush fabric is of a much finer quality than the standard market, most noticable in the stuffed polar bears shown here.

Rascals - design was kept simple with an emphasis on cute and fluffy.  The stuffing used is described as ultra-squishy which does give the stuffed animals a softy pillow feel. 

The fuzzy plush and simple detail to the animals looks give us the impression this line of stuffed animals would be directed more towards a friendly companion or take-along toy for a small child.

Cuddlekins is the flag-ship of Wild Republics line of stuffed animals.  This will be featured in our next post as it is an extensive line of plush stuffed animals.

GUND has released their new plush line called Aquatic Wonders. Each stuffed sea animal has a cute and unique look that only GUND has a way of pulling off. These plush toys include a white plush seal, dressed for success penguin, ocean blue dolphin, and a gray shark. We will take a look at the Aquatic Wonders Seal and Penguin below.

Our first impression of this stuffed seal is that he definitely has a look of innocence about him. His sad black eyes, and defenseless posture makes the strongest of hearts melt.

GUND is well known for using eye size and placement to bring out their desired expression of a plush toy. In this case the seal appears to have an innocent look about him.

Additional features include a beautiful white plush offset by the black nose and whiskers along with a soft pillow like stuffing.

GUND takes a more playful approach to their stuffed penguins. With the head tilted slightly back and a smaller set of eyes, this plush penguin appears to be having fun on the ice.

GUND follows traditional lines with playfulness and penguins, just as they had done with innocence and seals above. You truly feel the mood of this stuffed penguin just by the eyes and tilted beak.

Additional features of this GUND penguin include a plump squishy body, black over white plush, and gray feet for accent.
